Bagels and Soft Pretzels
with Richard Festen

Join us for a private hands-on class with Richard Festen, owner of Baking Arts. In this class we will make the old-fashioned, hand boiled, chewy bagels and lye dipped pretzels like we used to get from the kosher bakeries in New York when we were kids. Crisp and brown on the outside with a hearty bite inside. We'll make dough from scratch and learn to form, boil and bake bagels using our methods for lye dipped pretzels and pretzel dogs in class.

This class is hands-on with all materials supplied. Do come hungry, as we will be sampling the pretzels and pretzel dogs hot out of the oven as well as toasting up some freshly made bagels.
