Two Bakers Turned a Passion for Baking into Careers in Online Content Creation With the Creators of “The Pancake Princess” and “Pastry with Jenn”

Have you ever wondered what is involved in being a baking-oriented “content creator”–including blogging as well as posting to Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok? Join us as Erika Kwee, aka, “The Pancake Princess,” and Jenn Yee, aka “Pastry with Jenn,” shed light on how they transformed their passion for baking into internet careers.

We’ll discover what drives Erika to find the “best” chocolate chip cookie (or pound cake or blueberry muffin) recipe out of the millions that can be found on the internet. Erika’s research for the “best'' starts with a spreadsheet, continues with a robust bake-off, and culminates in a rigorously detailed tasting.

Jenn will share her methodology for social media posting about everything from finding the best cookware shops in Paris, to harvesting cacao in Kauai, to discovering the best bakeries in San Francisco. We hope that you’ll tag along on this web-oriented baking adventure.

Erika Kwee is the creator behind The Pancake Princess, a data-driven blog on a mission to curate the internet's best recipes. Originally from San Mateo, Erika attended college and worked in Houston for nearly 13 years before moving to New York City and starting her full-time blogging journey. The Pancake Princess has been featured as a Best Baking and Sweets blog for the Saveur Food Blog Awards, as a Cook of the Year for Southern Living, and profiled in the Wall Street Journal and the Houston Chronicle.

 

Jenn Yee is a San Francisco-based content creator with a passion for food and travel. She spent the past 12 years with retailer Williams Sonoma, working in inventory management, culinary, and social media/content. Additionally, Jenn graduated from the pastry program at Tante Marie Cooking School. Jenn has been featured in Bake from Scratch Magazine, Edible San Francisco, and on NBC Bay Area Asian Pacific America.
